Gaining school-ready skills through play.

Treehouse Preschool offers an age-appropriate program for creative, emotional, social, cognitive and physical development for preschool children. The program is planned to meet the needs and abilities of the individual child. Classroom curriculum offers opportunities for children to develop through visual, auditory, motor and communication skills by sharing experiences with formal and informal conversation or discussion. The daily activities help the children learn how to share ideas, thoughts, and materials as well as learn self-discipline and personal responsibilities.

Our goal is for your child to love learning and be part of a preschool community. We hope to share those skills while learning through play.

Curriculum

Treehouse Preschool seeks to stimulate creative and cognitive development through everyday exposure to a wide variety of art and play materials. Each classroom has their own curriculum developed by their teachers. They have themed units that last roughly 2-3 weeks each. These units encourage learning through the themed lessons. Some of our favorite units are: Discovering Our Five Senses, Pond Life, Life as a Cowboy, Transportation, Celebrating Dr. Suess and Our Community Helpers.

Giving Back

Treehouse Preschool feels that learning to be part of a community and helping others is a quality best gained as a young child.  We provide children an opportunity to be part of a bigger community every year. In the past, we have had the children make blankets for senior residents, recycle aluminum with The Akron Zoo, gather canned goods for a food drive benefiting Good Neighbors and donate items for Pregnancy Care.

Treehouse Preschool is not just a school or a building. Treehouse is a community. We celebrate accomplishments both big and small and carry each other’s burdens.
