Wendy Brown - Administrator
I came to Treehouse Preschool as a Me and My Parent teacher in Spring of 2006. I started training to be the administrator soon after that and became administrator in January 2007. I have, however, been working with children since 1998 as a children ministry director. Our goal here at Treehouse Preschool is to provide a safe, social and educational atmosphere for preschoolers to learn about themselves, peers and the world around them. They do that learning through play. I love watching them experience new things, understand new concepts and become friends with new children. They are like sponges, soaking everything in they can and we try and fill up that sponge every day. I have lived in the Akron area most of my life. I moved to New Wilmington, PA to attend Westminster College where I earned my bachelor’s degree in math and secondary education. I soon found that working with younger children was where I wanted to be. I went to the University of Akron for post graduate work in early childhood education and became the administrator of Treehouse Preschool. My husband and I have two children, a daughter and a son, and have been living in Tallmadge for the past five years. I love to be crafty, watch CSI shows and be an active parent in my children’s lives.

Lisa Faloutico - Five Year Old Class Teacher
My name is Lisa Faloutico and I am a teacher for the 5 year old class. This is my second year with Treehouse Preschool. I bring with me 8 years of preschool experience. I have an Early Childhood Development associate’s degree and I continue to further my education by taking preschool workshops under the state of Ohio’s early learning content standards program. My goal is to provide your child with a loving preschool experience encouraging him or her in social, emotional, physical and academic development. These, along with additional pre-reading and writing skills will have your children ready for the challenges ahead in kindergarten. I love being a teacher; I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. Working with this age group, providing them with opportunities to succeed and seeing their progression from the beginning of the year to the end, is the challenge I value most. I reside in Stow with my husband and two sons. My hobbies include attending many sports related games, gardening, movies, reading and home decorating.

Joan Hall - Me and My Parent My name is Joan Hall and I am so happy to be the new Me and My Parent teacher. I was born and raised here in Tallmadge. I attended Archbishop Hoban High School and Kent State University where I graduated with Bachelor degrees in Science, Art and Architecture. After working in architectural firms in Hawaii and Colorado, I moved back to Ohio to be near my family. My goal is to give the two year old boys and girls a fantastic first experience of school. I want them to gain confidence and independence, have pride in their accomplishments and feel prepared for their next year in the three year old class.
I live in Tallmadge with my husband,
David and our three daughters who have gone through or are currently
attending Treehouse Preschool. In my small amount of free time I
like to read, draw, paint, and work with polymer and ceramic clays.
I also work as a children’s art tutor. |

Marti Heilmeier - Four Year Old Class Teacher
My name is Marti Heilmeier and I am the teacher of the four year old class. I have a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from the University of Akron. I taught first and second grade for five years until I had my children, and have been teaching preschool for the last 25 years. This is my 17th year at Treehouse Preschool. My goal is to provide children with a safe, loving environment in which to grow and mature. It is important for children to have opportunities and experiences to help them grow socially, emotionally, cognitively and physically. I love spending one on one time with each child and learning what is important to them. Watching the children’s progress from the first day of school to the last is very rewarding.
My husband and I have lived in
Tallmadge for 20 years. We have three grown children who all
attended Treehouse Preschool before I began teaching here. My
hobbies are reading, teaching dog obedience classes and training my
own dogs. I spend many weekends at dog shows and agility trials. |

Anita Kelly - Four Year Old Class Assitant
My name is Anita Kelly and I am a native of Tallmadge, Ohio. This is my second year teaching at Tallmadge Treehouse Preschool. In addition to teaching preschool, I have been teaching Sunday School for the 3-4-5-year old class at the First Congregational Church in Tallmadge for over 10 years. Prior to teaching at Treehouse Preschool, I was an office manager for 6-years for a local builder and prior to that I was Administrative Assistant in a large local advertising agency for 18 years. I love being around children and teaching preschoolers. I wish I had chosen this career first.
I have raised 4 children with my
husband, Jim, over the last 40 years in the Cuyahoga Falls area. We
have 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren that we love spending
time with them. I enjoy working crosswords, playing games on the
computer and going dancing with my husband. |

Teri Lucas - Three Year Old Class Assistant
Working at Treehouse Preschool has been a very rewarding experience for me. I love the one on one time that I can spend with each child because it really gives me a chance to get to know them and see their personality. The growth that we see from day one to the last day of school is immeasurable. Both my son and daughter are “graduates” of Treehouse Preschool. It was an exciting experience for both of them and a great preparation for kindergarten!
